Helping Attorneys Understand the Medicine Behind the Records
Values
⭐ Analytical: I bring bedside critical thinking into case review, identifying patterns and connecting causation.
⭐ Authoritative: I don’t guess - my insights are grounded in standards of care and evidence-based practice.
⭐ Strategic: I understand how medical facts impact legal outcomes.
Registered Nurse and Legal Nurse consultant with 10 years of bedside clinical experience and two years analyzing medical facts for attorneys.
Background
Legal Nurse Consultant | 2024 - present
After 10 years serving at the bedside in a 417 bed, level II trauma center, I felt called to expand my nursing knowledge and expertise.
I was blessed to be offered a legal nurse subcontracting position in 2024 and fell in love with breaking down medical records into the clear, objective story hiding behind the thousands of pages.
I dove in 100% and established Nurse in Law, LLC - with all my pride and joy - offering attorneys the opportunity to collaborate with a nurse who has been dedicated to nursing excellence since 2016.
Vascular Access RN | 2024 - present
In 2024, I assisted in developing the Vascular Access Team (VAT) - a dedicated resource for hospital wide difficult IV access patients.
VAT Services: accessing implanted ports, using ultrasound guidance for difficult peripheral and Midline placement.
Areas of expertise:
Central line management
IV Infiltration/extravasation
Provide hospital-wide education on venous access best practices and updates
Float Pool RN & CRN | 2016 - 2024
8 years as a Float Pool RN, I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience across multiple departments.
ICU | Emergency | Telemetry | Pediatrics | NICU | OB | Oncology | Med/Surg | Progressive Care | Heart & Vascular | Ortho/Neuro/Surgical | Hospice
Working in all areas has prepared me to be competent and certified across all nursing disciplines and lifespans.
